Most Acupuncturists associate Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture with stroke recovery and severe neurological conditions — and for good reason. But ZSA is a complete system of Acupuncture capable of treating the full spectrum of clinical presentations you see every day: lower back pain, frozen shoulder, IBS, anxiety, unexplained infertility, and everything in between. If you've ever wondered whether scalp Acupuncture could play a meaningful role in your everyday caseload, this webinar will show you exactly how.
Dr Scott Ling introduces ZSA's theoretical foundations — including its holographic mapping system and its basis in both TCM meridian theory and Western neuroanatomy — and walks through the key treatment zones and how they apply to four common clinical categories: musculoskeletal conditions, fertility, digestion, and mental health. You'll also see how ZSA integrates effortlessly with whatever Acupuncture style you currently practise — whether that's classical Acupuncture, the Balance Method, Tung's points, navel Acupuncture, ear Acupuncture, or 14-meridian TCM — because ZSA needles only the scalp, leaving the rest of the body completely free for your existing protocols.
Dr Scott Ling has been practising ZSA for almost a decade and runs one of Australia's busiest Acupuncture clinics, where ZSA is a core part of everyday clinical work. This webinar draws directly from that experience — real conditions, real zone selections, and real clinical reasoning you can take straight back to your treatment room.
What This Webinar Covers
Introduction to ZSA and Its Treatment Zones
A brief overview of what Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture is, how it differs from other forms of scalp Acupuncture, and the key treatment zones — including the Upper Jiao, Middle Jiao, and Lower Jiao — and how they map to specific organ systems and clinical functions.
ZSA for Musculoskeletal Conditions
How ZSA is applied to everyday musculoskeletal presentations — lower back pain, shoulder injuries, and joint conditions — including zone selection, how needling the scalp frees the body for movement, and what this looks like in a real clinical scenario.
ZSA for Fertility and Gynaecological Conditions
How ZSA's Lower Jiao zone and its relationship to the reproductive system make it a valuable tool for fertility support and gynaecological presentations, with clinical reasoning from Zang Fu diagnosis through to zone selection.
ZSA for Digestive Conditions
How ZSA's Middle Jiao zone addresses digestive presentations — poor appetite, bloating, IBS, and related complaints — and how the MJ zone's connection to the Spleen, Stomach, Liver, and Gallbladder is applied in practice.
ZSA for Mental Health Conditions
How ZSA is applied to anxiety, depression, and other mental health presentations through targeted zone selection — including the role of the Upper Jiao and ZSA's ability to regulate the nervous and endocrine systems via the brain.
Integrating ZSA with Your Current Practice
Because ZSA needles only the scalp, it can be combined with classical Acupuncture, the Balance Method, Tung's Acupuncture, navel Acupuncture, ear Acupuncture, and standard 14-meridian TCM without conflict. Real clinical examples of how this combination works in practice.
From Zang Fu Diagnosis to ZSA Prescription
How the Zang Fu diagnosis you already use from Acupuncture school translates directly into ZSA treatment prescriptions — selecting zones, determining needle direction, and building a treatment plan using the clinical reasoning you already have.
