The Challenge You're Facing

You Became an Acupuncturist to Make a Real Difference.
Some Patients Still Walk Out Unchanged.

You have the training, the needles and the clinical intent. But when a complex pain case presents with minimal progress, or a chronic patient arrives without a clear pattern, the gap between what you know and what you can confidently do feels significant. The difference between Acupuncturists who reliably produce clinical change and those who quietly struggle isn't talent — it's method.

01

One Method Isn't Enough for Every Patient

Standard Acupuncture training gives you point combinations, but rarely a complete system of relationships. When the first approach only partially works, most Acupuncturists are left starting over instead of pivoting.

02

Distal Treatment Requires a Clear Framework

Knowing distal points exist is not the same as knowing which one to choose, why, and what to do when the pain moves. Without a framework, distal selection becomes guesswork.

03

Lineage Transmission Is Disappearing

Most Balance Method teaching today is two or three generations removed from Dr Richard Tan himself. Subtleties of imaging, mirroring and system selection get lost without direct transmission from the source.

Balance Method, taught from direct lineage, is designed to close this gap.

The Balance Method

Five Complete Treatment Pathways
For Any Condition That Walks In

The Balance Method gives you five complete treatment systems for any condition, plus holographic imaging and minimal-needle distal selection. That changes everything in the treatment room. When one approach only partially works, you don't start over and you don't lose the patient's confidence — you pivot to the next system and keep chasing the result.

⚖️

The Five Systems

Five complete Balance Method systems for any condition — each built on a different meridian relationship. You'll learn when to use each system, how the systems interact, and how to combine them for layered presentations.

🪞

Holographic Imaging & Mirroring

The imaging and mirroring techniques that let you treat any region of the body through distal points alone — minimal needles, no exposure of the affected area, and clear clinical reasoning behind every point.

What separates Balance Method from other distal systems is the completeness of the framework — not just which points, but why, in what order, and what to do when the pain moves.

Your Instructor

Meet Dr Eileen Han

PhD · 20-year direct disciple of Dr Richard Tan · Treats 50–70 patients daily using Balance Method exclusively

Dr Eileen Han (PhD) is the closest living link to Dr Richard Tan's clinical method. For 20 years she worked directly under Dr Tan — running his clinic, assisting at his seminars worldwide, and continuing to treat his patients after he passed.

She treats 50–70 patients daily using Balance Method exclusively, and teaches with the high-energy, anecdotal storytelling style that made Dr Tan's own seminars unforgettable. What she transmits is not an interpretation of the Balance Method — it is the method itself, drawn from two decades of direct lineage transmission.

This is why lineage matters. You are not just learning a technique — you are receiving a method, complete, from the source.

The Lineage Foundation

The Direct-Lineage Transmission Behind This Training

Balance Method is not a generic distal-acupuncture style. It is a complete clinical framework developed by Dr Richard Teh-Fu Tan over decades of practice — and refined through tens of thousands of patient cases by his closest disciples.

Dr Richard Tan's Clinical Method

Dr Richard Tan — Architect of the Balance Method

Born into a family of TCM practitioners in 1950s Taiwan, Dr Richard Tan inherited and then systematised the classical relationships between meridians into what he eventually called the Balance Method — a complete framework for treating any condition through distal points using five interlocking systems, holographic imaging, and mirroring.

When Dr Tan brought this method to the United States and taught it worldwide, Acupuncturists began achieving results that had previously seemed inconsistent — chronic pain responding where other approaches had not, complex presentations finally shifting under treatment. The framework's strength is that it is reproducible: not dependent on intuition, but on a system of relationships that any trained Acupuncturist can apply.

Dr Tan taught his complete method to only a small number of direct disciples. Dr Eileen Han is among the most senior of them, and this training transmits that framework directly — Module 1 of the three-module Core Essentials progression Dr Tan himself laid out.

What You'll Learn

What You Will Be Equipped to Do After Three Days

By the end of the three days, you'll have a complete, systematic Balance Method framework you can apply with your very next patient.

Treat Across All Major Presentations

Apply Balance Method treatment protocols for stroke, allergy, pain, sleep and skin presentations — the same conditions Dr Tan demonstrated repeatedly throughout his career.

Use Kai He Shu and the Meridians

Apply Kai He Shu (Open-Close-Pivot) and the meridian relationships at the heart of the Balance Method — the structural logic behind every system.

Read the Eight Trigrams (Bagua)

Understand the Eight Trigrams and their symbolic role in Dr Tan's framework — the classical scaffolding that organises the systems.

Apply Zang Fu Bie Tong

Use the extraordinary Zang-Fu connections (Zang Fu Bie Tong) to open additional treatment pathways for difficult cases.

Expand Your Point Vocabulary

Add 60 additional Tung points to your clinical repertoire, with clear indications drawn from Dr Tan's own teaching.

Use Holographic Imaging & Mirroring

Apply holographic imaging and mirroring techniques to treat any body region through distal points — minimal needles, clear reasoning.

Master the Five Systems

Internalise the Five Systems of the Balance Method, when to use each, and how the systems interact for layered presentations.

Make Minimal-Needle Distal Decisions

Choose minimal-needle distal point selections with confidence — and pivot smoothly when the first approach only partially resolves the complaint.

Run the Clinical Encounter

Handle patient communication, complications and treatment frequency — the practical clinical skills Dr Tan modelled in every demonstration.

Identify Red Flags

Spot the red-flag presentations that require referral, and approach them with clear clinical reasoning.

Needle technique needs live observation. The subtle angles, depths and manipulation — and the way Dr Han chases a presentation when the first approach only partially resolves it — can only be caught by being in the room.
Yes. Attendees consistently report applying what they learned with their first patients straight after the seminar. The framework is designed for next-day implementation, not months of integration.

Your patients are waiting for the Acupuncturist you're about to become.

The Acupuncturists who reliably produce clinical change with complex presentations didn't get there by chance. They made a deliberate investment in the method, the lineage, and the framework that most seminars don't transmit.
